Shift Schedule Calendar ("App", "we", "us") provides on-device tools for:
We do not upload your schedules, day overrides, notes, reminder rules, or exported calendar content to servers operated by us. Core schedule processing occurs locally on your device, except when you intentionally export, share, or save content through a service or destination you select (for example Apple Calendar, which may sync via iCloud under Apple’s terms if you use an iCloud calendar).
We operate no application servers and do not integrate analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs into the App. Apple may separately provide us with aggregated App Store analytics, sales information, subscription information, or diagnostic data under Apple's own privacy practices and your device settings. We do not intentionally collect personal information, except when you voluntarily contact us by email or when Apple / StoreKit provides the purchase or entitlement information necessary for the App to unlock Pro features.
This Privacy Policy applies only to the App itself. It does not apply to Apple, the App Store, Apple Calendar, iCloud, notification delivery, or third-party services that you choose to use when sharing or exporting content.
Schedules, rotation patterns, start dates, work hours, time-zone identifiers you assign to a schedule, day overrides, notes, reminder rules, display preferences and related settings you create are processed and stored locally on your device using Apple frameworks (including SwiftUI and SwiftData). The App does not automatically upload this schedule database to servers operated by us. Your content leaves your device only when you choose to share, export or save it, or when it is included in device backups managed under your Apple settings.
Camera access is requested solely so you can scan a coworker’s schedule QR code to import a rotation pattern. Camera frames are processed on your device for QR recognition. We do not receive or store camera images, and we do not upload them to servers operated by us. You may deny camera permission; file-based import remains available where offered in the App.
Calendar access is requested only when you choose to export schedules to Apple Calendar. The App requests full Calendar access because it needs to identify, update, reconcile, and remove events previously created by the App when you re-export or use export management. Full Calendar permission technically allows the App to access events in calendars available through Apple’s EventKit framework; however, the App does not use unrelated calendar events for scheduling, profiling, analytics, advertising, or transmission to us.
Schedule events are written to the calendar you select. App-created events are identified using app-specific local export records and event metadata so they can be updated or removed without intentionally modifying unrelated events. Calendar information is processed locally through EventKit and is not transmitted to servers operated by us.
You may deny or revoke this permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars. The App can still be used without Calendar access; export features will be unavailable.
Notification permission is requested solely to deliver local reminders for upcoming shifts or time off that you configure. Reminder scheduling uses Apple’s local notification frameworks on your device. We do not operate a push server for these reminders and do not receive the content of your reminder notifications. You may deny or revoke this permission in system Settings. The App can still be used without notifications.
Photo library add access may be requested solely so you can save schedule images (for example month images you choose to create) to your photo library. Images you save are written to your library through Apple’s system interfaces. We do not upload those images to servers operated by us.
When you share a schedule pattern (file and/or QR) or import a pattern from a file or QR code, the transfer happens only through the channel you choose (for example AirDrop, Messages, Files, or another share destination). We do not host shared patterns on servers operated by us, and we do not receive a copy of patterns you share with others.
Home Screen widgets, if you add them, display schedule information from data already stored on your device. Widget content is handled by Apple’s WidgetKit on your device. We do not receive widget display data.
Payments are processed exclusively by Apple. We do NOT receive:
The App may access StoreKit transaction and entitlement information necessary to verify your subscription entitlement (Shift Schedule Calendar Pro — annual plan as offered on the App Store) and unlock Pro features. We do not receive your payment information or Apple ID credentials. Apple's privacy policy applies to payments: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Apple may provide us with crash reports, performance information or aggregated usage metrics when users have enabled the relevant sharing settings ("Share with App Developers"). We use this information solely to diagnose technical problems and improve the App. We do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking. Apple's privacy practices apply to Apple's collection and processing of this information. Disable anytime: Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
If you email us, we receive your email address and message contents. This information is used only to respond to your request. We retain support communications only for as long as necessary to handle your request and to keep reasonable records of our correspondence. You may request deletion at any time.
Except for support communications, purchase/entitlement information and Apple-provided diagnostics described in this Policy, we do not intentionally collect, store, track or access:
We do NOT sell, rent, or disclose personal information to third parties for advertising or data-broker purposes. User-initiated sharing, Apple system services (including Apple Calendar / iCloud sync when you export), purchases, backups, and support email handling are described separately in this Policy.
Your schedule content remains on your device; we do not upload it or store it on servers operated by us. Deleting the App normally removes the App’s locally stored application data from the device, subject to Apple’s operating-system, backup and restore behavior. We cannot access or recover deleted content from our systems, because we do not host it. Copies included in your device backups (Section 5.2) or content you have already shared or exported (Sections 5.3–5.4) are under your control, not ours.
Your App content may be included in your personal device backups (e.g. iCloud device backup) under Apple's terms. You control backups from your device settings; we have no access to them.
When you share a pattern file/QR or save an image, it is delivered only to the destination you choose. We do not keep, access or track copies. Content you share is governed by the privacy practices of the services you share it with.
Events you export to Apple Calendar remain in your Apple Calendar account/device under Apple’s terms. If you export to a calendar that syncs with iCloud, Apple may sync those events across your devices under Apple’s privacy policy. We do not control that sync and do not receive those events. Removing the App does not necessarily remove events already written to Apple Calendar; you may delete those events in Calendar or by using in-app export management where available.
Shift calculations, exports and reminders depend on the schedule data you enter, your device clock, time-zone settings and Apple system services. Accuracy is not guaranteed in all conditions (for example after travel, daylight-saving changes, denied permissions, or delayed system notifications).
You are responsible for:
The App is a personal scheduling utility. We do not guarantee suitability for employment compliance, payroll, or legal evidentiary purposes in your jurisdiction.
Pro unlocks paid features as described in the App (for example additional schedules, year view, calendar export, month images, additional reminders, and keeping multiple imported schedules, as offered at the time of purchase). Plans:
A free trial may be offered to eligible users as displayed on the App Store purchase screen.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, through Apple’s subscription management interface. Refunds are handled by Apple. Terms of use: Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
This App does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, tracking technologies or cross-app tracking identifiers. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or tracking. Content is disclosed to another service only when you intentionally export, share or save it using a destination you select.
Where applicable, we process support communications as necessary to respond to your request and maintain reasonable support records. StoreKit entitlement information is processed to provide purchased Pro functionality. Any diagnostic information made available by Apple is used solely to diagnose technical issues and improve App reliability.
We do not operate servers for storing your schedules. Apple, your email provider, and services you intentionally use for sharing or exporting may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Where GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, KVKK, or other applicable privacy laws provide additional rights, those rights remain available to you as provided by law.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain information about personal data we hold about you. Because we do not operate servers storing your schedules, these requests generally relate only to information such as support correspondence that you have sent to us.
To exercise applicable privacy rights, contact: appsroutine@gmail.com.
On-device schedule data can be deleted directly in the App or by removing the App, subject to Apple backup and restore behavior.
Because schedule content is processed locally and is not stored on servers operated by us, it is not exposed to risks associated with an application-content server operated by the developer. Device encryption and applicable iOS security protections may help protect locally stored content. Support emails are processed and stored by our email service provider under its applicable security and privacy practices.
The security of on-device data also depends on the security settings of your device (such as passcodes, encryption and iCloud account protection). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own device.
We rely on:
No other third-party analytics or advertising services are used in the App. Services you choose for sharing or exporting content process that content under their own applicable privacy terms.
The App is intended for general productivity / work-scheduling use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If a child contacts us by email and you believe we have retained their personal information, please contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Use of the App is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which covers license terms, warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability. We use Apple’s Standard EULA everywhere Terms of Use are required (including App Store Connect and in-app legal links).
We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. The "Last updated" date will reflect changes. Significant updates may be communicated in-app or in release notes.
